Curved Text on Invitations: When It Works (and When It Doesn't)

Arc headlines, circular names, and subtle curves — how to use curved text in Kaagaz without hurting readability.

Curved text is one of the fastest ways to make an invitation feel custom — a gentle arc over a wreath, names following a circle, a slogan hugging a badge shape. Done well, it looks editorial. Done poorly, it is unreadable.

Curve short phrases only

Names, a single word like "Celebrating," or a date line work beautifully on a curve. Long paragraphs do not. If guests have to rotate their phone or squint, move that text back to a straight line.

Curved headlines pair well with wreaths and circular frames.

Watch the degree of bend

In the Kaagaz editor, use the curve control to adjust how far text wraps. Subtle curves feel classic; tight circles suit monograms and logos. Preview often — what looks artistic on desktop can shrink badly on WhatsApp.

Curve for emphasis, not for everything. Straight text still carries the details.

Try curved text on your next engagement or anniversary template. Keep venue and timing on straight lines, and let the curve do the emotional heavy lifting.
